Luke was admitted to Children's Hospital in Boston in early July 2011, to undergo surgery for a bowel obstruction. The obstruction was caused by complications from CDH (Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia), a condition that caused Luke to be born with a hole in his diaphragm which led to the contents of his abdomen (liver, spleen, stomach, small intestines, etc.) to develop through the hole in his upper chest cavity. The surgery in July caused further complications and he's expected to remain in ICU for another month or so while he undergoes further procedures. Luke's friends and family have now banded together to form Friends 4 Luke Daigle in order to help lessen the financial strain this will cause his family.
In support of this cause we're hosting a Rally and Silent Auction at the Weymouth Elks Club on October 16, from 2-6 pm. All proceeds will go to help Luke and his family.
If you'd like to make a monetary gift to Luke or a donation for the auction please contact Friends 4 Luke Daigle at 617-479-1946 (Cucina Mia) or drop a donation off at
